Staying in the park

Here you’ll find information about accommodation options in and around Muddus/Muttos National Park.

There are five overnight cabins in the national park, open to visitors all year round. The cabins have a simple but comfortable standard and you self-cater during your stay. You light the stove, collect water, cook, wash up and clean the cabin yourself. Cutlery, crockery, blankets and pillows are provided. You need to bring your own bed linen.

All cabins have firewood and gas stoves, as well as payment slips with information on how to pay. It is not possible to reserve a place in advance.

Camping

If you want to camp, the Right of Public Access applies. This means you may camp for a couple of nights in the same spot in the national park. Remember to follow the park regulations and the basic rule of the Right of Public Access: do not disturb, do not destroy.

Choose a tent pitch where you do not damage the ground and take all your rubbish home with you. Along the Muttosleden Trail, by the lake Njuktjajávrre, there is a good tent area with a dry toilet and a fire pit.
