Services in the park

Here you’ll find information about toilets, drinking water and other visitor services in Muddus/Muttos National Park.

At the main entrance to the national park, you will find information panels, wooden decking, a few fire pits, boardwalks and ramps, as well as a toilet by the car park.

Barbecue areas with firewood and dry toilets can also be found at the locations listed below. Firewood is transported out during the winter season, so the amount available may vary depending on when you visit the park:

  • The bridge at the outlet of Muttosädno
  • Where Muttosädno flows into Stuor Julevädno
  • Måskosgårsså by the river
  • Boargáljávrre
  • The tent site at Njuktjajávrre (the name means “Swan Lake”)
  • The viewpoint at Muddusagahtjaldak/Muddus Falls
  • Vuojnnastimsadje rest area, about 500 metres north of the Muddusagahtjalak/Fallstugan cabin
  • The four cabin sites: Fallstugan, Muttosluoppal, Manson and Nammavárre

There are also several fire pits along the Muttosleden Trail.
