Activities and sights in the national park
The County Administrative Board of Norrbotten arranges boat tours to Sandskär, the largest island in the national park, during the summer months. Here you will find several long sandy beaches where you can go swimming.
Birdwatching is popular on Sandskär. Along the coastal meadows you may spot various waders, and the island has a bird ringing station.
There is a nature trail on Sandskär with an accompanying information leaflet. The trail is five kilometres long. The island is also home to a chapel and a rådstuga.
