Purpose of the National Park: To preserve a representative, varied and biologically valuable South Swedish forest and lake landscape, including its plant and animal life, in a largely untouched state.
Area: 1,869 hectares, of which 499 hectares are land
Nature: Mire lakes, open bogs, taiga, pine forest on eskers, species‑rich herb meadows
Landowner: Swedish Environmental Protection Agency (Naturvårdsverket)
Manager: Länsstyrelsen Kronoberg
