Ängsö National Park is located in Roslagen, in the Stockholm archipelago, about 15 kilometres south of Norrtälje. You can reach the island by your own boat, by scheduled ferry, or by boat taxi.
Ferries
During spring and summer, ferries operate to Ängsö from Strömkajen in central Stockholm and from Furusund. The ferries arrive at Hemudden.
You can find timetables and ticket prices on the Waxholmsbolaget website.
Important: When using the Waxholmsbolaget journey planner, choose “Nationalpark Ängsö”, as there is another island with the same name in the southern part of the archipelago.

There are many places where you can go ashore on Ängsö with your own boat. However, please note that large parts of the eastern side of the island are a bird protection area, with entry prohibited from 1 February to 15 August.
In addition to natural harbours and rocky landing spots, there is a small guest jetty at Hemudden, where you may stay for one night.
