Activities and sights in the national park
One way to visit Vadvetjåkka National Park is to hike from a car park at Kopparåsen on the E10, about 20 kilometres from Abisko Turiststation. The trail into the park is a little over ten kilometres long and is a summer trail, marked with cairns and occasionally with orange paint. At the end of the trail, there is a bridge over Njuoraeatnu. After crossing the bridge, the national park boundary lies a few hundred metres to the east.
In Vadvetjåkka National Park, and just west of it, you will find one of Sweden’s deepest limestone caves. The cave was formed by flowing underground water and is 700 metres long and 140 metres deep. The limestone caves can be visited when the ground is free of snow.
