Tyresta National Park is located about 20 kilometres south of Stockholm. You can reach the main entrance Tyresta by by car or by public transport.
Travel by Car
Follow Road 73, then turn onto Road 260 towards Brandbergen. From there, follow the signs marked nationalpark. A paid car park is available at the entrance, including spaces for visitors with reduced mobility and for motorhomes.
By Public Transport
Bus 834 runs directly to the main entrance at the stop Tyresta by.
You can also take buses 807 or 809 to Svartbäcken. From there, it’s about a 3‑kilometre walk to the main entrance.

By Taxi or Transport Services

Other Entrances to the Park
There are four other entrances to the park: Stensjödal, Brakmaren, Storängen/Långsjön and Höjden. The other entrances are most easily reached by car or bicycle.
Stensjödal Entrance
Stensjödal is the entrance on the eastern side of the national park.
Follow Road 73, turn onto Road 259/227 towards Dalarö, then continue on Åvavägen for about 10 kilometres.
Parking is available right next to the park’s eastern boundary.
Brakmaren and Storängen/Långsjön Entrances
Brakmaren and Storängen/Långsjön are two smaller entrances on the northern side of the park.
From Road 73, turn towards Tyresö and follow Tyresövägen in the direction of Tyresö Castle. At the castle, turn onto Brakmarsvägen, which leads to the entrances.
Höjden Entrance
From Gudöbroleden (Road 260), turn towards Gudö and continue along Bondvägen until it ends.
Parts of Gudöbroleden also have a cycle path, making it a convenient option for visitors arriving by bike.
