Getting here

Here you’ll find information on how to get to Tresticklan National Park.

Tresticklan National Park is located in Dals‑Ed Municipality in north‑western Dalsland, close to the Norwegian border. The national park is difficult to reach without a car.

Råbocken entrance

The easiest way to reach the national park is via the main entrance at Råbocken, located on the eastern side of the park. There are signposts from the road between Ed and Nössemark.

There are two car parks here: a smaller one for motorhomes and a larger one for cars. From the car park, a marked trail leads to the park boundary, a distance of about 700 metres.

You can also reach the national park via hiking trails starting from Dals‑Ed and from Halden in Norway.

Budalsvika entrance

The western entrance, Budalsvika, lies directly on the Norwegian border. This entrance can only be reached on foot.

Klevmarken entrance

The southern entrance, Klevmarken, is located east of Ringsmon, and can also only be reached on foot.

The forest roads leading here are closed with gates. The easiest option is to park at the car park by the old croft Klevmarken, and then walk the remaining five kilometres to the entrance.
