Services in the park

Here you’ll find information about toilets, drinking water and other visitor services in Töfsingdalen National Park.

There are no cabins, sheltered rest areas, wind shelters, or toilets inside Töfsingdalen National Park. The nearest rest shelters with dry toilets are located outside the park at Hävlingen, Töfsingen, Slagufjällskojan, Slagusjön, Spångkojan and Siljanskojan. These shelters may only be used for overnight stays in an emergency.

Along the River Storån and around Lake Hävlingen, there are a few wind shelters, some of which have firewood stores and fire pits.

There are no opportunities to buy supplies once you have left Grövelsjön or Idre. You must bring everything you need with you and take all your rubbish back.

As in most mountain streams, the water is clean and often safe to drink directly from the stream. However, if you want to be completely sure, you should boil the water or use a water filter.
