Getting here

Here you’ll find information on how to get to Töfsingdalen National Park. 

Töfsingdalen National Park is located in north‑western Dalarna, about 200 kilometres from Mora. There are no roads leading all the way to Töfsingdalen. You reach the national park on foot or on skis.

There is a snowmobile trail to the nearby Hävlingestugorna cabins.

Hävlingen entrance

You can reach Grövelsjön by car or by bus. Take Dalatrafik bus line 396 from Mora.

There are several car parks in Grövelsjön.

From STF Grövelsjön Mountain station it is 13 kilometres of hiking or skiing to the Hävlingen entrance.

Snowmobile use is permitted as far as Hävlingestugorna until 25 April, but the trail may close earlier due to reindeer calving or lack of snow.

You can also reach the north‑western corner of the national park from the bridge between Lake Hävlingen and Lake Särsjön, where you will find an information board.

From Grövelsjön Mountain station in the west, the hike is 13 kilometres and takes about 3.5 hours.

Ängessildret entrance

The car park at Ängessildret is reached via a gravel road from Foskros. Please note that the road is only ploughed as far as Hällsjön in winter.

The easiest way to get to Ängessildret is by car, but Dalatrafik also offers on‑demand buses from Idre a few days per week on line 782. Contact Dalatrafik for more information.

From Ängessildret, it is an eight‑kilometre hike to the national park boundary. There is no marked winter trail from this entrance.
