Activities and sights in the national park
There are almost no marked trails inside Töfsingdalen National Park. There is one marked summer trail that runs between Spångkojan and Slagufjället shelter, passing through the south‑eastern corner of the national park.
Outside the park, there is a marked summer trail from Hävlingestugorna heading south along Storån. At several points there are bridges across Storån, allowing you to enter the national park.
Fishing is prohibited inside Töfsingdalen, but you may fish outside the park in the Hävlingen lake system and in Storån. In Storån, only fly fishing is permitted. In Hävlingen, all hand‑held fishing methods are allowed. At Hävlingestugorna, boats and canoes can be rented during the periods when a cabin host is present.
Many different herbs grow along Töfsingån, and the flora is especially rich near the river’s largest waterfall. The forest here is lush, with spruce trees several metres in circumference.
Almost the entire Töfsingdalen area consists of a continuous field of boulders. Here, the inland ice remained stationary and broke loose blocks of rock, depositing them in a chaotic formation as the ice melted. Some of the boulders are several metres tall, while others are the size of large stones.
