Purpose of the National Park: To preserve the largest continuous mire landscape in southern Sweden in a largely unchanged state, allowing lakes, wetlands, vegetation and wildlife to develop freely.
Area: 7,682 hectares
Nature: Wetland, coniferous swamp forest, pine forest, lakes and waterways, woodland on wet or infertile ground
