Services in the park

Here you’ll find information about toilets, drinking water and other visitor services in Stora Sjöfallet/Stuor Muorkke National Park.
 

You can drink the water everywhere in Stora Sjöfallet/Stuor Muorkke National Park.

Rest Areas and Toilets

There are rest areas both along the walking trails and by the road in the national park.

Along County Road 827, known as Vägen västerut (“the Road West”), there are several rest areas within the national park. You will find them here:

  • Vákkudavárre – The Swedish Tourist Association has a mountain cabin here.
  • Vuoksájávrre – Parking area and a dry toilet.
  • Rájvogielas – Parking area and a dry toilet.
  • Rijtjem/Ritsem – Parking area and a dry toilet.

Along the Kungsleden Trail, there is a shelter with a wood-burning stove and a dry toilet at Lake Dievssajávri. At Bietsávrre, near Kungsleden, there is also a dry toilet.
