At the entrances Nyvallen, Nysätern and Valmen, as well as at the rest cabin in Sododalen, there are set up rest areas with dry toilets and information boards about the national park. Sododalen cabin is unlocked all year round. In an emergency, it may be used for overnight stays.

Fire pits

You can make a fire in the designated fire pits at the entrances Nyvallen, Nysätern and Valmen, and at the rest cabin in Sododalen and the shelter at Stor-Ryvålen.

In the Sododalen cabin, you can also connect to a local wireless network where you can listen to and read stories about Sonfjället.
