Activities and sights in the national park

In Söderåsen National Park there are several hiking trails.

The trail Kopparhattsrundan starts and ends at the Skäralid entrance and takes you up to Kopparhatten, the highest point in the national park. From Kopparhatten you can see how scree slopes and cliff walls frame the valley where Skärån winds its way through. Kopparhatten is one kilometre from naturum Söderåsen.

At the Skäralid entrance the trails Liakroksrundan and Hjortsprångsrundan also begin. In Röstånga the trail Odensjöpromenaden starts, taking you to the spring lake Odensjön, and the trail Nackarpsrundan, which goes through Nackarpsdalen and beech forest with a view over Odensjön. At Odensjön you can swim and fish.

Two of the Skåneleden trail sections pass through the national park. These are the sections Röstånga–Skäralid and Skäralid–Klåveröd.

In the area there is also a hill of basalt that is the remains of a 110‑million‑year‑old volcano, Rallaté. It consists of tightly packed stone columns and is lava that has solidified in the volcano’s vent.
