Staying in the park

Here you’ll find information about accommodation options in and around Hamra National Park.

If you want to stay overnight in the national park, you may bring your own tent. Camping is allowed for up to two nights in the same place. Good tent pitches can be found on some of the small islands in the Svartåmyran mire and along the River Svartån. Your tent must always be placed so that it cannot be seen from the park entrances or walking trails.

Camping is not allowed in the area of the original national park, located west of the main entrance.

The national park has two lean-to shelters where overnight stays are allowed – one at Ormtjärn along the Hamraleden trail, and one along the Långa Myrslingan loop. Both locations have fire pits and firewood.

If you stay overnight in a motorhome or caravan, you may park at the national park’s entrance car parks for a maximum of two nights in the same place.
