Garphyttan National Park is located five kilometres south-west of the village of Garphyttan. The easiest way to reach the park is by car, but you can also walk or travel by public transport.
By car
There are signs directing you to the national park from Lekhyttan, Lanna and Garphyttan. If you use a GPS, you can enter the coordinates for the Garphyttan Entrance:
- WGS84: 59.2786571, 14.8831007
- SWEREF99: 6571087.15, 493338.21
Between April and June, there may be more visitors than usual in Sweden’s national parks, especially during weekends.
By public transport
More information about local on-demand transport (närtrafik) is available on the regional public transport website:

Walking to the park
The long-distance trail Bergslagsleden passes through the north-western part of the national park. Stage 11, between Suttarboda and Leken, takes you directly into the area and is a good option if you want to arrive on foot.
