Garphyttan National Park

In spring, the woodland floor is covered in carpets of liverleaf, wood anemones, cowslips and lily of the valley. The air is filled with scents and the lively song of thrushes. These flower‑rich meadows, surrounded by deciduous and coniferous forest, are shaped by centuries of traditional land use. Even today, the landscape is cared for using old methods. The cultural history and the blooming meadows are the park’s greatest values.
