Services in the park

Here you’ll find information about toilets, drinking water and other visitor services in Fulufjället National Park.

Toilets

At the Njupeskär entrance, there are flushing toilets that are open all year. At the other entrances, and at the mountain cabins, there are dry toilets.

Rest Cabins

Rest cabins are not intended for overnight stays. They are equipped with a wood-burning stove, firewood, an axe and a saw.

The rest cabins, from north to south, are:

  • Lorthånkojan
  • Njupeskärstugan
  • Björbäcksstugan
  • Rörsjöstugan
  • Harrsjöstugan
  • Brottbäcksstugan
  • Särnmansstugan
  • The cabin at Klortjärn
  • The cabin at Risdalen
  • Göljåstugan
  • The cabin at Morbäckssätern

You may also take a break in the open overnight cabins.

Shelters

Shelters (vindskydd) are not intended for overnight stays. They have a firewood store, fireplace, axe and saw. There are three shelters just west of Brottbäckstugan, one along the trail in the Göljån valley, and one on the trail towards the Rörsjöarna from Naturum.

Rubbish

There are no bins or rubbish containers in the mountains. You must take all your waste back with you.

A waste-sorting station is available at the Njupeskär entrance.
