Whether you want to walk along a marked trail, explore unique landscapes or pause at a viewpoint for a break, the parks offer plenty of ways for you to enjoy nature – from easy walks to scenic lookouts and deeper adventures into the wilderness.
Activities and sights in the national park
Björnlandet National Park is an excellent place for hiking. The park has more than 30 kilometres of marked trails that take you through forests, across bare rock and over open mires.
The trails vary in length and difficulty, so there is something for everyone. Several of the trails lead to rest areas where you can enjoy your packed food or simply take a break.
In early summer, the park is a great destination for birdwatchers. You may spot capercaillie, Siberian jay and several species of woodpecker.
In winter, you can experience the park’s nature on cross-country skis.
At the top of Björnberget, you will find the Björnberget viewpoint, where you can enjoy wide views across the national park. From the Angsjön entrance, you can follow a trail of about 2.5 kilometres up the mountain to the viewpoint.
